Frontal vs Closure Wigs – What’s the Difference?
Share
If you're new to wigs or just upgrading your look, you’ve probably heard terms like “frontal” and “closure.” But what do they mean — and which one is best for you?
What is a Closure Wig?
A closure covers a smaller portion of your scalp, usually 4x4 or 5x5 inches. It's placed in the middle or side of your head and is easier to install and maintain — perfect for beginners or simple looks.
What is a Frontal Wig?
A 13x4 frontal covers your entire hairline from ear to ear. This gives you more styling freedom, such as deep side parts or ponytails. Frontals look the most natural but often require glue or professional installs.
Which One is Right for You?
